24 Hour Monitoring
Going away on vacation? Wether you are going on a 3 week trip or a quick overnight you need peace of mind when it comes to your dog. During their stay, every day they get a full day of daycare, where they will enjoy exercise, socialization, and endless belly rubs! At night time each dog, or family of dogs will get their own private sleeping space where they can relax and unwind after an exciting day. We can personalize their care to suit your pets needs. We have another facility just north of the city where we can take your pup if they don’t get along with other dogs, where we have the space to separate them. This facility is also a great option for farm dogs, seniors, dogs with medical conditions, and dogs who just need the extra space to roam and sniff. We like to keep their feeding schedule as close as possible to what they are used to at home, and our experienced staff have no issues administering all kinds of medications. Our goal is to be their home away from home, and to send you home at the end of their stay with a happy healthy pup!
Our Calgary Facility
We have an 9200sqft facility with 3 separate play spaces, rubberized sports flooring, space to run and play, and an outdoor gravel area that is tons of fun and easy to keep clean and sanitary. We have pools & A/C for the summer, indoor agility activities for the cooler days, and the dogs are always supervised by one of our wonderful team members!
Our Acreage Facility
We have 5 acres of fully fenced space, large indoor pens, pools & A/C for the summertime, and heated floors for the winter! Fantastic option for the older dogs with joint pain.
We do transport to and from the Calgary facility for convenient pick up and drop off. They have the same amazing quality of care and staff.
Our Kitty Hotel
Our kitty hotel is top notch! It is climate controlled, includes a play area with natural light, room service, and of course one-on-one time with our loving staff. We like to keep them happy with the comforts of home, with cat trees, play tunnels, toys, scratch posts, and windows! We understand that cats need to stay active which is why we get them out of their pen and playing all day! If your cat wants to play with some kitty friends we have lots of space for them. If they prefer their own space or just to hang out with our staff they are welcome to do that as well, we want them to feel at home in our care, and we do whatever we can to make this happen.
In Home Kitty Sitting
Do you prefer us to come to your home? We offer in home cat sitting visits!
What to pack for your pup?
Please make sure that you pack enough food for the entire duration of your pups stay, and any treats you would like your pup to have. Should we run out of food or your pup ends up staying longer, we have our own house food that can be fed for $2.00 per cup, if needed. However, we always prefer not to switch their food as that can cause an upset tummy. Please do not bring food bowls unless it is a special slow feed bowl. If you want to provide your pup with treats, we are more than happy to give them to your pup according to your instructions. We do not give any animals any treats that did not come from home, in case of any food intolerances.
As nice as it is to have something that smells like home, we can never guarantee that they won’t get chewed up or dirty. If you would prefer not to take that chance, we would be more than happy to provide your dog with one of our own blankets/beds & toys for their stay. All our toys & beds are washed and sanitized daily.
Please ensure that if your pup needs meds, you provide enough to last the entirety of their stay. Please make sure the instructions and dosage are clearly indicated and communicated to the staff, and that if meds are given with any kind of food or treat, you provide those as well.
When the dogs are in for the night, all collars come off and they are kept with their belongings. Their leashes are hung up and labelled. Since we have an outdoor space, we don’t usually need to use them. So, if you don’t have one with you, that is alright as well.
What to pack for your kitty?
Please provide enough food for the duration of their stay. If they are on both wet and dry food, please provide both. If you want to provide your kitty with treats, we are more than happy to give them to your cat according to your instructions. We do not give any animals any treats that did not come from home, in case of any food intolerances. Please do not bring any food bowls unless your cat needs a special style of bowl for feeding.
We have lots of bedding and toys for the cats to use in our care, although, sometimes it may be nice to have something from home! You are welcome to bring toys or bedding from home, however, we can never promise that it will stay in perfect condition. If you would rather not risk your cat’s favorite blanket or toy, let us provide them. We wash and sanitize all bedding daily, and more if needed.
Please ensure that if your cat needs meds, you provide enough to last the entirety of their stay. Please make sure the instructions and dosage are clearly indicated and communicated to the staff, and that if meds are given with any kind of food or treat, you provide those as well. All of our staff are trained and able to administer insulin
We provide litter and the litter box. We scoop them daily, if not multiple times a day, and change and add litter as needed to ensure the health and cleanliness of your cat. If your cat is a little picky and will only use a certain litter box, you are welcome to bring one as well.
The health and happiness of the animals in our care is our number one concern. We require that all vaccines be up-to-date, and proof of vaccinations are provided. We also highly recommend that your pet be treated monthly with topical treatments of Revolution or Advantage Multi. This is not mandatory, however these are flea, tick, mite, and lice treatments, and without these your pup is at higher risk of picking something up from other dogs. We recommend speaking with your vet about these treatments. Puppies are also required to have at least their two sets of shots, however, we recommend you seek your veterinarian’s recommendation prior to bringing your puppy to daycare. All dogs must be spayed or neutered, at 1 – 1.5 years, to participate in socializing.
Safety & Security
For the safety and security of all our daycare and boarding dogs, we must be informed of temporary and/or permanent arrangements for drop off and pick up of your dog from Dogaholics. We must be made aware of the person’s name and contact number for changes in pick up. No dog will be released until we have confirmation from the owner of the dog. Identification will be required.
